A supplier assessment is a structured process for qualifying suppliers through the collection of data, documents and certificates. It can also be used to obtain consent to terms and conditions.
Create a new event
- To create a new assessment event:
* Navigate to 'Supplier Management'.
* Select 'Supplier Assessment Events'.
* Click on 'Create a new Supplier Assessment Event'. Select a pre-defined workflow on the left side to ensure you have the appropriate structure.
Fill in all the necessary information on the right side to customise your event.
Once you click Create a new Supplier Assessment Event, the event enters the draft stage.
At Mercanis, an Assessment Event is divided into different sections or functionalities. These represent the various pieces of information that you can request from the supplier. For more information about each functionality, please refer to this article.
Depending on your choice of template, you can:
- Edit basic information
- Select suppliers - Here, you can select from all the suppliers in your Supplier Repository.
Use filtering to group suppliers by category, status, account owner and many more. You can find the full list by clicking on this button. You can add a supplier by clicking the plus icon in the top right corner of the supplier card.
- Add Questionaires.
- Add Documents.
- Request Certificates.
- Request consent to Contracts & Agreements.
Additional elements
1. Add stakeholders
If you would like to collaborate with other team members on this assessment event, you can add them via the 'Stakeholders' tab at the bottom left of the page.
- Select the users you would like to add.
- Select their type.
Owners, unlike Stakeholders can edit everything. Stakeholders, on the other end, have viewing permissions only, but they can be assigned individual rights. - Click "Add Stakeholder".
2. Send the Assessment Event to the Suppliers
Once you have marked all sections as Done, click 'Invite Suppliers' to send the assessment event to all the added suppliers. The event will then enter the ongoing stage.
3. Supplier Chat
After sending invitations to suppliers, they can be included in a chat. For more information on chats.
4. Delete Event
To delete an event, click on "Delete Event" at the bottom left side of the screen. To prevent accidents, you must enter the event's exact name.
