Workflows and templates in Mercanis help standardize processes in Mercanis and save you a tremendous amount of time, when doing repetitive tasks. Below, their similarities and differences are shown.
What Are Workflows?
Workflows in Mercanis define reusable process structures for Sourcing Events and Supplier Assessment Events. They specify:
- The required steps and functionalities for an event
- Pre-defined content, such as Suppliers, Templates etc.
Workflows ensure process consistency while allowing teams to adjust details like dates and supplier selection for each event.
What Are Templates?
Templates in Mercanis refer to reusable content components within workflows and events. These include:
- Questionnaires
- Forms
- Pricing sheets
- Documents & NDAs
Templates enable teams to collect consistent supplier data across events while reducing manual work.
Workflows vs. Templates
Workflows define the overall structure and process of an event, while templates standardize specific content used within these workflows and events.
Both can be edited later, when actually used in an event etc.
